Modelling Dinosaurs can be great fun given the right inspiration and the ability to play!  

When you book your Dinosaur Sculpture Party with Stephen, you can be assured that all the children will be inspired to express themselves with guidance and encouragement.

The art modules below are the content options that we provide for each individual party. Specify the ones you prefer, or simply leave it to us to deliver what we feel appropriate on the day that relates to the age and skill level in the room.

Clay Play

There's nothing I like better than getting stuck in to a block of clay and see what emerges. Unfortunately, clay takes time to dry properly, so taking a finished piece home from the party is not practical, but by using an air dried clay, children can sculpt their pieces and take them home to finish off at their leisure.

Wireframes

Working with brightly coloured and safe pipe cleaners, imagination can run riot and dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes can be created. These are great pieces to take home and put in the bedroom.

Bone Impressions

We provide clay forming kits that create dino  impressions into the clay and once dried, allows the artist to paint-in the bones. Our salt dough mixture is perfect for a 30 second microwave hardening process. This is so popular with the children!

Paper Crafts

Sculpting in paper and card can be immediate and rewarding to the children, happy to follow a process that delivers creative results. We have lots of ideas to keep little minds and hands busy!

Dino Construction 

Observing Dinosaur models, the children create clay sculptures that look amazing, and I show how to connect the limbs to the body by using matchsticks. This provides strength and support to stand independently. A great learning exercise!

Teeny-Weeny Dinos

As part of my introduction to sculpture, I create context so the children understand the potential scale from large to small, even minute. I demonstrate this by showing a dinosaur on a match head. The children are tasked to see if they can recreate the piece!

INCLUDES ALL SCULPTURE  MATERIALS AND  TAKE-AWAY DINO ARTY BAG

Payment in advance (£100) when booking online and remainder on the day before the party.

What to expect:

  • Age group from 4 to 11 years

  • Time slot of 2 hours for up to 12 children

    ( £20 per additional child )

  • You'll have time to set up any tables and chairs in readiness.

    I supply protective dinosaur table cloths and floor protectors
    if required... to keep everything clean!

  • Once everyone's is present, I provide a short talk and answer all of your little one's questions

  • Enjoy some hands-on creative time whilst making a fab keepsake to remind them of the fun they've had on the day. 

  • Opportunity for a photo with 'Rex' during the session and a break for food if required

  • All sculpture materials are provided

  • Every child takes home an Dino Arty Bag containing:
    - Block of Plasticine
    - Sculpture Tool
    - Colouring Book
    - Crayons & Stickers
